The Strike Is Officially Over
Over the past 6 weeks I have been working as a Customer Service worker at a Temporary Dump site in Toronto. It was not as bad as I am sure most people think. I worked with a good bunch of guys. It was stinky, rainy, hot and physically demanding at times… but overall we made a good time out of it. The area where I was working is now officially cleaned up and will be completely restored to it’s original state (probably even better than before the dump was there).
As of Tuesday August 4, 2009 I will be back in the office and performing my regular Human Resources duties. This is good and bad. I will have my regular schedule/life back, but I will miss that stinky beautiful pile of garbage!
